about
Recorded in Radley School over 2 days in July 2013. We try to merge lots of different styles into 1 song of multiple movements. Yeah yeah I know it sounds pretentious but really we are trying to show the breadth of what we want to, in the future, sound like. We're 15 and 16 and really love the music of the progressive rock movement in the late 60s through the 70s. We try to bring a lot of elements of prog rock into the music whilst also including influences from more recent bands like Radiohead, Muse and MCR.
lyrics
Revolving trains and snow scenes,
Wooden horse parade,
A plastic case, a cage for you,
And me and all your friends.
Fruitless shines a fantasy,
A mastery of the world,
Carve your stars, but ours will remain,
Candles, quakes, and smiles.
Can you see our walls will fall,
They call for all our lives,
Shiver, shudder, and see us stand,
We fight to fight the lies.
As you're gazing through the glass
Does it make you start to laugh
Are we really free
As children writhe in light
While no one looks or sees
Streets bathed in red and white
Can we really claim
The fragments of our cause
With no one left to blame
For a legal holocaust
Is this really what you want,
Screams the widow as she cries
Reply with napalm taunt
Expel the flame with shots and lies
As you're gazing through the glass
See the dogs condemned to burn
Does it make you laugh and dance
Or make your stomach churn
All the days
Your tongue tied
The hangmans not
My noose
When you look what do you see
When the day’s darker than night
Streets are lit up by the blitz
Families beg to end the fight
Its the youngest who will fall
Cause the know not what it means
When shells drop from skies tall
Greet the angels with a scream
But beyond all the other sights
In this carboard cut out cage
A man opened his eyes
And was crowned the mayor that day
So he climbed onto that tower
Amidst all the fear and doubt
And in that final hour
All had found their voice to shout

We're from Oxford UK and are all 16 or 17. We love the music of prog rock greats like King Crimson, Pink Floyd and Genesis
whilst also enjoying the music of more contemporary 'alternative rock' bands like Radiohead, Muse and Porcupine Tree. We try to reflect these two very different influences in our music whilst trying to give something new....more
